Can someone who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?

Yes. Many patients who have back surgery continue to have disabilities and pain. These patients will have treatment modified to accommodate their needs and contraindications.

Does the treatment hurt?

The patients who come here for treatment are already hurting. Our treatment plan is designed to provide the appropriate treatment needed to soothe the pain.

Will I have x-rays?

Most patients do not require x-rays to receive treatment. In cases where there is severe trauma, or suspicion of internal disease x-rays or MRI may be required.

Do I need a referral from a physician or my insurance company?

Most major medical insurance plans do not require a referral. We will assist you to determine if your insurance plan does require one and the necessary steps to acquiring the referral. You may also call your insurance company before hand or check your plan booklet.

Will you suggest exercises or other things I can do?

As you progress, addition of exercises may be suggested to enhance your recovery and to maintain the better state of health you have achieved. Your specific needs to improve lifestyle will be addressed through patient education. Our office allows for optimal patient interaction. It is during this time that suggestions concerning proper body mechanics, joint protection techniques and posture can be discussed.
